Hello

A little about me and my approach as a
psychiatric nurse practitioner.

I believe mental health care should be collaborative, personalized, and, most importantly, real. My approach is rooted in the connection between mind, body, and spirit, blending evidence-based medication management with research-backed therapy modalities to support meaningful change.

My journey in healthcare began as a critical care nurse at the University of Maryland. Fueled by a mix of curiosity and caffeine, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Frostburg State University and later earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse clinical settings, learning from some truly brilliant mentors. These experiences shape my humanistic approach—where patients can expect both compassion and the occasional tough love needed for real, sustainable growth.

I have a deep passion for working with individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction, as well as treating children and adults with ADHD. Additionally, I provide affirming care for the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a safe and supportive space for those navigating unique challenges.

Now, for the fun stuff: When I’m not completely obsessed with the complexities of human behavior, you can find me collecting local art, binge-watching crime documentaries like I'm training to be an FBI profiler, or getting lost in a good book. I cherish time spent with my best teachers—Madi, Kade, and Aurie. I also love traveling, whether it’s exploring new places or just people-watching in an airport and analyzing the chaos. Fitness connects me to me in ways I thought only therapy could, and my amazing wife, Sherry, keeps me grounded, along with our lovable, slightly unhinged pack of cats and dogs, who run the household.

Planting Seeds Behavioral Health is my way of giving back. Recovery transformed my life, and this practice is a tribute to those still navigating their path. Through a blend of therapy and medication management, I strive to empower others to embrace healing, foster growth, and perhaps even find moments of laughter along the way.
